ERIC LAURIHA

Group Vice President, Transmission & Distribution West

Eric Lauriha was promoted to group vice president in 2023 and oversees the Western region of the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) division. Prior to his current role, Eric served as regional vice president since 2022 and was responsible for the overall operation of MYR Group subsidiary Sturgeon Electric’s Phoenix and Utah Transmission & Distribution (T&D) divisions.

For more than 17 years, Eric has held roles of increasing responsibility, such as foreman, superintendent, operations manager, and became a district manager in 2013. In his 11-plus years as district manager, the Arizona district grew to be one of Sturgeon Electric’s largest in the T&D Western organization.

CLAY THOMSON

President

Clay was appointed president in 2015, and is responsible for the company’s strategic development, safety, and overall well-being. Previously, he was a vice president at High Country at its inception in 2013, overseeing the organization’s workforce and client relations. With more than 35 years of industry experience, Clay is highly skilled in all aspects of high voltage electrical construction, the use of helicopters to aid in construction, working on environmentally sensitive projects, and developing innovative construction techniques to meet project requirements.  

Prior to High Country, Clay held positions of increasing responsibilities ranging from lineman to operations manager with Irby Construction, Sturgeon Electric, Summit Line Construction, and Atkinson Power. He holds an industry leadership role as High Country’s NECA Western Line Constructors Chapter representative. His career is supported by his journeyman lineman apprenticeship, industry leadership and project management programs, and certifications in Transmission “Live Line” Training and the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). 

 

PHILIP DAVIS

Operations Manager

Philip’s electrical construction experience spans over 22 years, focusing on utility transmission, substation, distribution, and renewable energy systems. He joined High Country Line Construction in 2024 as operations manager.  Philip establishes valuable partnerships with customers to understand their needs and efficiently deploy High Country’s resources for their projects.

Before joining High Country Line Construction, Philip served as EPC District Manager at sister company, MYR Energy Services, Inc. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles at M. A. Mortenson, including project executive, construction executive, and senior project manager, overseeing EPC utility and renewable energy projects.  Before M.A. Mortenson, he progressed his career from apprentice electrician to project manager with Wasatch Electric, A Division of Dynalectric.

Philip holds a Master’s in business administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with commercial emphasis, and a Bachelor of Science in construction management technology from Weber State University. He began his construction career in the field working as a carpenter’s helper and apprentice electrician.

ROBERT DIXON

Estimator

Robert (Rob) is a results-driven professional with experience in strategy planning, project management, team development, and optimizing operational efficiency. He began his career at High Country in 2019 as an office manager, where he oversaw all office workers and operations until being promoted to estimator in 2020. As an estimator, Rob investigates and evaluates the material and labor resources required to provide quality products and services. His technical and critical thinking abilities help ensure accurate estimating and effective project planning for High Country clients. 

Rob studied business at Weber State University, Ogden Utah, and technical plumbing at Davis Applied Technology Center, Farmington, Utah. 

WENDY DAVIDSON

Vice President, Business Development

Wendy joined MYR Group as vice president of business development in 2020 where she drives strategic growth throughout the markets we serve. Wendy leads a dynamic team that develops new opportunities, fosters client relationships, and implements effective business strategies that respond to changing market demands to further establish MYR Group’s position as an innovative partner in the clean energy transformation.

Throughout her 30-plus-year career, Wendy has held advisory and leadership roles in the energy and industrial construction markets. Before joining MYR Group, she led business development for Mortenson’s Wind Energy Group by building on her diverse experience gained in previous roles at Koch Industries and GE Capital, and founding her own consulting practice. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University.

JHOANNA SADURAL

Business Development Lead

Jhoanna joined MYR Group in 2022 as a business development lead and is responsible for understanding client needs and fostering strong relationships with them to grow the transmission and distribution construction business in the Western region of the United States. Additionally, she supports efforts to gather market intelligence and perform business analyses to guide the strategic direction of MYR Group subsidiaries. 

Before joining MYR Group, Jhoanna worked for Mortenson Construction as an onsite field engineer constructing wind farms. Her major responsibilities were leading crews in the foundation phase operations, engineering crane lift plans, and coordinating landowner and client meetings. 

Jhoanna works on the WEI (Western Energy Institute) program development team and is an active member of RMEL (Rocky Mountain Electrical League). She has a Master of Business Administration and a certificate in leadership from Missouri State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in building construction management and a certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
